Large rail and highway projects use and generate substantial volumes of spatial information, often requiring complex and creative management solutions. This presentation will discuss some of the unique requirements of data management on large infrastructure projects, including processing complex CAD models to generate intelligent GIS datasets, making key project information available to project users, and automating common tasks using FME and PostGIS.
