Through a variety of methods, it is possible to geocode your data live in Excel or Google Sheets. This has many useful applications, including automated geocoding, geocoding with multiple geocoders (e.g. The Census Geocoder and Google’s Geocoder), as well as the ability to have numerous people working on one set of data to manually geocode more rapidly.
This presentation could discuss but isn't limited to the following topics: methods used to prepare the data for geocoding using Powershell ISE, how to make API calls from Excel, how to structure API calls, formulas used for prioritizing various geocoders in Excel, using Google Sheets to geocode as a team, as well as using Excel macros and batch files to expedite the process.
