Michael Quant is currently employed as a Software Engineer with Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority (Metro). Within Metro, he is a member of the Rail Maintenance of Way and Engineering department and provides support to the Wayside Systems Rail department. He is responsible for developing equipment locator maps, rail track diagrams, Wayside Worker safety materials, supporting Metro's DigAlert program and rail expansion projects. Before joining Metro Mr. Quant spent fifteen years with Booz Allen Hamilton, Transportation Division, involved in a variety of Federal, State and local safety certification projects, Light Rail start-ups, and urban transportation planning studies. He began his career in Graphic Arts and Technical Illustration where he worked in aerospace for eleven years as a technical illustrator and computer analyst.
